Uranium One informant says Moscow paid millions in bid to influence Clinton

An FBI informant involved in the controversial Uranium One deal has told congressional committees that Moscow paid millions to a U.S. lobbying firm in a bid to influence then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by helping former President Bill Clinton’s charities during the Obama administration.

The Hill first reported late Wednesday that informant Douglas Campbell gave a 10-page statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee, House Intelligence Committee and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and was interviewed for several hours behind closed doors by committee staff.

In the statement, obtained by Fox News, Campbell said Russian executives told him that Moscow was hiring APCO Worldwide in an effort to influence the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton.

“The contract called for four payments of $750,000 over twelve months,” Campbell said in the statement. “APCO was expected to give assistance free of charge to the Clinton Global Initiative as part of their effort to create a favorable environment to ensure the Obama administration made affirmative decisions on everything from Uranium One to the US-Russia Civilian Nuclear Cooperation agreement.”

Uranium One is a Canadian mining company whose sale to a Russian firm was approved in 2010. The U.S. government was involved because the sale gave the Russians control of part of the U.S. uranium supply. The transaction has faced renewed scrutiny after The Hill reported last year that the FBI had evidence as early as 2009 that Russian operatives used bribes, kickbacks and other dirty tactics to expand Moscow’s atomic energy footprint in the U.S., related to a subsidiary of the same Russian firm.

Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill want to know how the deal was approved the following year by an inter-agency committee.

Pelosi Wastes 8 HOURS and $1.2 million in Filibuster on Pathway to Citizenship for Illegals

Clad in four-inch heels, Pelosi spoke for eight hours and seven minutes and was given a standing ovation by her Democratic colleagues when she yielded the floor at 6:11 p.m.

In her remarks, Pelosi announced that she and many fellow House Democrats would oppose the package unless House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., promised to allow a vote on a plan to shield from deportation hundreds of thousands of immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally.

“Let Congress work its will,” said Pelosi, who noted that Senate Republicans have slated a debate on the politically freighted subject starting next week. “What are you afraid of?”

According to the House historian’s office, Pelosi appeared to have set a record for the longest continuous speech in the chamber’s history. The previous record, of five hours and 15 minutes, was set by Rep. Champ Clark, D-Mo., in 1909.

Pelosi’s speech would not have come close to the length of the 10 longest filibusters in Senate history. The most recent notable filibuster came in April 2017, when Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., spoke for 15 hours and 28 minutes in opposition to the nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.

In 2013, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, delivered the longest filibuster in 60 years when he spoke for 21 hours and 18 minutes against a bill to end the 2013 government shutdown in an effort to defund ObamaCare.

Pelosi’s speech was not considered a filibuster, which can take place only in the Senate. However, House leaders are often granted extra time to speak on the floor, a privilege known as the “magic minute.” For example, then-Minority Leader John Boehner spoke for more than an hour against a cap-and-trade bill that passed the House in 2009.

President Trump moved to end former President Barack Obama’s illegal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program last year, giving Congress a March 5 deadline to pass legislation to replace it. However, a federal judge has indefinitely blocked Trump from terminating the program’s protections, blunting the deadline’s immediate impact.

“You see, these people are being deported,” Pelosi said at one point, taking out a tissue. “We can do something today to at least make whole the children.”

Her speech drew little reaction from Republicans, except for a tweet from the Republican Congressional Congressional Committee.

The court system also wasted 1.2 million dollars while waiting for Ms. Pelosi to finish. Government spending is through the roof. Who does she think she is?

What the Dems Won’t Tell You About the Stock Market Decline

After the nearly two-year record breaking stock upswing prompted by Trump’s Presidency and Policies, the market appears to be in a state of decline.

As usual, the Democrats had a field day.

But they might want to hold off on popping those six-figure champagne bottles a little bit longer.

Still don’t believe me? Take Jacques Baudelaire, noted economics policy professor at Yale University:

What Democrats fail to recognize is what’s known as the Push-Pull Theory. That is, with Democratic initiatives like raising wages and expanding entitlements programs comes at the cost of the businesses–the “Jobsmakers,” as I coined in my book, The Great Sham: How the Clintons Destroyed the Business Sector. With increased overhead and decreased confidence, the stocks plummet and the jobs disappear. To put it in euphemism: Nancy Pelosi, George Soros, and their crooked clan are working behind the scenes to dismantle all of the good work Trump has done for the economy… which is a shame, really.

Trump’s Presidency has been full of successes. Whether it’s bringing more jobs to coal miners, draining the swamp, and even directly causing black unemployment to reach an all-time historic low. But with Democrats threatening to undermine all of that–with success–through various underhanded tactics, our vastly divided country still has a long way to go.

But, perhaps this is just what the Dems–the Clintons, Pelosi, and even Bernie Sanders wanted all along. Less jobs, more money (for them), and virtue signalling the bottom line. Ignorance is bliss, after all.

Trump CRUSHES UK Leaders By Pointing to Universal Health Care Failure

President Trump has CRUSHED U.K. leaders by pointing to the failures in their universal health care systems. It has slashed services and led to claims that patients are dying in corridors and ambulances.

This is the result of socialized medicine.

Trump commented Monday on a weekend march in London calling for more funding for the U.K.’s National Health Service (NHS) by describing the NHS as “going broke” and criticizing Democrats for wanting to imitate the system.

The march was a broadly pro-NHS march that criticized the ruling Conservative government for not providing enough funding for the system. However, signs at the march calling for the NHS to be “saved” also included statements declaring the NHS “broken.”

The government has noted it’s increased funding by billions every year, but critics say it is not enough in what has been a decades-long war over NHS funding.

Those calls have become more urgent in recent weeks as the NHS has been hit by a “winter crisis” which saw tens of thousands of non-urgent surgeries canceled across England for more than a month, and widespread reports of hospitals simply unable to cope.

Breaking: A SECOND Memo Just Emerged, and Look Who Was Found Feeding the Info to Steele

Big bombshell breaking. It was bad enough that the DNC and the Clinton campaign were paying Christopher Steele through Fusion GPS to create dirt on their political opponent Donald Trump and that that dossier was then given to the FBI to use against him. But now it is revealed in a new document just released that the Clinton campaign was also contemporaneously feeding information to Steele. And that some of the information may also have been coming from the Obama State Department.

The new document just released is from the Senate Judiciary Committee. While heavily redacted, the document was written by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) refers Steele for criminal investigation. In the referral, it lays out that there was some coordination between the Clinton team and the Obama administration in spreading damaging information about candidate Trump.

According to the referral, Steele wrote the additional memo based on anti-Trump information that originated with a foreign source. In a convoluted scheme outlined in the referral, the foreign source gave the information to an unnamed associate of Hillary and Bill Clinton, who then gave the information to an unnamed official in the Obama State Department, who then gave the information to Steele. Steele wrote a report based on the information, but the redacted version of the referral does not say what Steele did with the report after that.

Published accounts in the Guardian and the Washington Post have indicated that Clinton associate Cody Shearer was in contact with Steele about anti-Trump research, and Obama State Department official Jonathan Winer was a connection between Steele and the State Department during the 2016 campaign.

The referral notes:

“It is troubling enough the Clinton Campaign funded Mr. Steele’s work, but that these Clinton associates were contemporaneously feeding Mr. Steele’s allegations raises additional concerns about his credibility.”

As Katie Bo Williams notes, yes, it’s particularly interesting given Rep. Devin Nunes indicated that a second phase of the investigation is coming involving the State Department. This likely factors into it.

The referral was originally classified but was released today, with heavy redactions. Some of what was redacted was Steele’s contacts with the media to help spread his information.

For example, a press release accompanying the referral said the referral “contains verbatim quotes from the [Carter Page surveillance] application that are not included in the [House Intelligence Committee] memo. Specifically, the referral quotes the application’s descriptions of Steele’s statements to the FBI about his contacts with the media.” Lest anyone get too excited, the press release went on to say that the quotes “remain redacted” in the version of the referral released Monday.

Also redacted is information related to the key allegation of the Grassley-Graham referral: that Steele was untruthful with the FBI and Justice Department over the issue of his many contacts with the press. If Steele was acting as a trusted source for the FBI on the highly confidential Trump-Russia investigation, it would have been improper for him to share his information with the press at the same time.

Some of what is redacted is the information about how the FBI used Steele’s press contacts in applying for the FISA warrants, according to Byron York of the Washington Examiner.

Twice-deported, drunk driving illegal immigrant accused in death of NFL player

The suspected drunk driver who killed Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson in a crash on the morning of the Super Bowl is a Guatemalan citizen who is in the U.S. illegally and has been deported twice, police revealed Monday.

Indiana State Police identified the driver of an F-150 truck in the incident as Manuel Orrego-Savala, 37, who had been deported in 2007 and 2009.

“State police investigators are working with U.S. Federal Immigration Officials and they have placed a hold on Orrego-Savala,” police said.

Jackson, 26, and Jeffrey Monroe, 54, also in his vehicle, were hit and killed around 4 a.m. on Sunday on Interstate 70 in Indiana.

Investigators believe Monroe was Jackson’s Uber driver and Jackson was the passenger, FOX59 reported. The station said at some point during the ride Jackson became sick, and the pair were hit on the emergency shoulder of the highway after Monroe pulled over.

A state trooper who responded to the crash also struck the body of one of the victims in the center lane when he slowed his cruiser down to investigate.

Orrego-Savala fled the scene but was arrested shortly thereafter by the responding officer. He then gave police the alias of Alex Cabrera Gonsales. Jail records viewed by Fox News on Monday morning said Orrego-Savala, under the alias of Gonsales, was driving without a license and is believed to have a blood alcohol level of .15 at the time of the crash.

“The loss of life at the hands of illegal immigrant criminals should make all Hoosiers sad and ultimately angry,” Rep. Todd Rokita, R-Ind., said in a statement. “We must do more to get these dangerous illegal immigrant criminals off of our streets, and guarantee this never happens again by building a wall, ending sanctuary cities, and stopping illegal immigration once and for all.”

It was not immediately clear when Orrego-Savala re-entered the U.S. after being deported in 2009. But Indiana State Police Sgt. John Perrine told Fox News that Orrego-Savala has used the Gonsales alias enough times “to create a paper trail.”

Orrego-Savala is currently being held at the Marion County Jail and police say they are working to file criminal charges.

Hillary Clinton fed anti-Trump info to ex-spy-turned dossier author

Clinton associates were “feeding” allegations to former British spy Christopher Steele at the same time he was compiling the controversial anti-Trump dossier paid for by the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign, according to an unclassified memo from senior Senate Republicans who recently made a criminal referral.

Those Republicans, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., had asked the Justice Department in January to investigate Steele based on evidence they say suggests he lied to the FBI about his contacts with the media (a violation of 18 USC 1001) — or the FBI misrepresented Steele’s statements.

The lawmakers are now asking the FBI for an emergency review of their criminal referral so it can be made public, with limited redactions.

Steele already is under scrutiny over the unverified Trump dossier, which a House Intelligence Committee document released last Friday alleged was at the heart of the FBI and DOJ’s request for a surveillance warrant for a Trump associate.

The memo from Grassley and Graham, which is now public for the first time, provides new insight into Steele’s circle of contacts during that time. While heavily redacted, the memo states Steele said he received information that came from “a foreign sub-source who ‘is in touch with (redacted), a contact of (redacted), a friend of the Clintons, who passed it to (redacted).”

grassley graham split

“It is troubling enough that the Clinton Campaign funded Mr. Steele’s work, but that these Clinton associates were contemporaneously feeding Mr. Steele allegations raises additional concerns about his credibility,” the senators wrote to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversees the Russia probe, and FBI Director Christopher Wray.

“…there is substantial evidence suggesting that Mr. Steele materially misled the FBI about a key aspect of his dossier efforts, one which bears on his credibility,”

Entire sections of the memorandum were redacted by the FBI on the basis that it contained classified information, though a review of the document shows the FBI redacted references to media reporting, including a Washington Post story available on the Internet.

The senators are asking for a declassification review because much of the information was declassified by the president when the House Intelligence Committee memo was released Friday. The memo found the dossier was used to obtain a surveillance warrant on Trump campaign aide Carter Page — and neither the FBI nor Justice Department told the national security court that it was financed by the DNC and Clinton campaign, and bureau contact with Steele was terminated over his contact with the media.

While the FBI fought the release of that memo, the senators also say the FBI’s claims “mischaracterize and misstate” the amount of classified information in the Steele referral. The senators are asking that the FBI and Justice Department “immediately review the classified referral in light of [Friday’s] declassification and provide the Committee with the declassified version by no later than February 6, 2018.”

In a heavily redacted Jan. 19 letter, Gregory A. Brower, assistant director for FBI congressional affairs, said the FBI “respects” the committee’s commitment to transparency but the bureau “cannot and will not weaken its commitment” to protecting classified information because it is in the public domain.

“Public reporting about (redacted) does not affect the FBI’s policy with respect to classification (redacted) nor does it diminish our obligations (redacted),” he wrote.

The House Intelligence Committee has long struggled with the FBI and Justice Department over access to Trump dossier and surveillance records. After August subpoenas were ignored, the committee threatened to hold Wray and Rosenstein in contempt of Congress before a deal was reached.

The memo detailing alleged surveillance abuse by the FBI and Justice Department was fully declassified after the committee followed a long-standing congressional rule which asks the president whether he objects to the record’s release. In this case, the president exercised his powers as commander-in-chief to immediately declassify the document.

Lindsey Graham: We Need 10 Million More Illegal Immigrants

In a meeting this Wednesday, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham made a terrible mistake.

Senator Lindsey Graham is a pro-immigrant, pro-open borders Republican congressman. Graham, who has been leading the immigration negotiation talks, is putting American workers at risk.

“Some might say America is going to hell in a hand basket,” Senator Graham said. “I say that’s what a pig whistles when he’s drunk. The truth is that we need more immigrants to expand our economy into new sectors.”

When asked which sectors the South Carolina Senator meant by his comments, he replied with a list of coal-killing “green energy” industries including solar and wind.

Once  Graham had said his piece, President Trump let him know who was really boss: him.

“I won’t sign anything that doesn’t patch up the faulty border system we got right now,” President Trump said. “Since I’ve taken office illegals are leaving the country in the millions. But we don’t want to let them get back in.”

Historical Science Professor Emeritus at Emory University Ruddy Wilcox has confirmed in his newest book, “Paradigm: Trumpism in America”, that the list of accomplishments during Trump’s first year is staggering.

But there is one place he disagrees with the president.

“Graham is a Republican in name only,” Wilcox said. “There isn’t a Conservative bone in his body. I think the president would be better served making unilateral executive orders. The government is broken. He can fix it.”

Graham’s office has not gotten back with a comment.

Trump Officially Declares Opioid Crisis A “Public Health Emergency”

The opioid crisis in America is the largest such epidemic in world history. And nobody can stop it except President Donald J. Trump.

Trump has decided to finally take this crisis head on.

America has always been a drug-infested nation, due in large part to the overwhelmingly liberal sentiments that plague mainstream culture. With Trump finally elected and non-big-city America–the rest of us–finally having the voice we’ve been waiting for for centuries, there’s a good chance that these liberal clowns may have to say “bye bye” to their heroin and prescription painkillers.

White House Correspondent Gene Davis had this to say:

Never has there been a more exciting time to be an American. We finally have a President that’s going to execute the wishes of all Americans, and that starts with the looming Opioid crisis. This has gone on for far to long, and it’s about time someone stepped in. Trump just happened to be that man, because he cares about the people and he wants us to be safe.

Personally, I am excited because I have known many friends that I had to cut myself off from due to their rampant drug abuse (and liberalism).
With Trump in power and making his official statements, perhaps more than one of us can rest easy tonight.

BREAKING: Barron Trump Awarded Chess Grandmaster Title

Everyone knows Barron Trump is the smartest President’s kid ever. Or should we call him First Son?

Either way, Barron has been awarded the prestigious title of Chess Grandmaster this week from the International Board of Chessmasters.

His ELO, a score calculated to determine a chess player’s ability in a match, was the determining factor in lifting Barron to the rank of Chess Grandmaster.

Barron Trump is only 11 years old but he has already attained one of the highest titles in all of sports.

This should be no surprise considering who is father is. Donald Trump is one of the highest ranked and most celebrated American chess players of all time.

In the 1970s and 80s, Donald Trump studied under the tutelage of players like Bobby Fischer. Eventually, he won hundreds of chess tournaments abroad before retiring at the ripe old age of 40.

Donald Trump has been training Barron ever since he was a kid.

And now all of that hard work has paid off.
